Need Paper?
I guess you could call me a Stationary lover. I just love buying different types of paper with different textures and seeing how they print my artworks on my ink jet printer. I also enjoy other types of stationary such as business card paper, photo paper, and other papers just for ink jet printers. If you are a fan of stationary but are too poor to pay retail prices, try Big Lots. My co-workers joke that I should go to "Big Lots" and become their spokesperson. I keep buying all my printer paper I need from them. "Big Lots" gets quite a nice selection from time to time as other big name stores release lots of discontinued and otherwise over supplied papers. At normal retail rates, 8 to 15 sheets of photo paper for an ink jet printer tends to cost around $20 dollars for higher end paper. Lower end paper can cost around $8 to $15 dollars. Big Lots though will usually have some nice reams of paper (a ream is 500 sheets) for around $4 bucks or less. Right now they have some nice thick stock and vellum sheets in reams for around $4 bucks a pop. They often have Fuji photo paper or Avery brand papers for $3 bucks for a box of 20 or more sheets. I used to buy the Hammermill paper at "Big lots" before they ran out. I used them for a group to print out brochures for our trips. The paper was very clean and bright and a great buy at $2 bucks for 100 sheets. "Big Lots" also used to sell some nice "Q Invent it" brand label paper, sticker sheets, shrinky dink plastic, and many other great items for buyers to use with their ink jet printers. I am always amazed at what I find there when I stop in. So if you are a fan of stationary or just need some paper that's affordable for a project, check out "Big Lots." ~L~ |
