Need Prints from your Digital Camera?
If you're like most people, you've come into the digital age and bought yourself a handy Digital Camera. Now where do you get your prints from? Do you print them off your ink jet printer at lower quality or do you go to the local photo lab and get it done for a higher price? If you can't decide what to do or need hints, here's a few places online you might want to try. Snapfish is a great site to join. Membership is free and you can create user albums to share with family and friends. You can also order photo prints of your digital photos from their site or have them sent to a local photo lab. If you buy them from Snapfish directly, you get a better price and only pay the additional tax / shipping. If you opt to have your files sent to a local affiliated photo lab, the cost is a bit more but you only pay sales tax extra. Snapfish also offers occasion sales and offers to buy their gift items. They have tees, mugs, trivets and other things you can buy in addition to photo prints. The only catch is you must buy one item a year if only a single print to keep your account active. If you don't buy something, they delete your account. It's worth having to buy one item a year to have your photos up and available. You can also send your regular film to be digitally developed and sent back as prints. It's very handy! The prices per print (from 9 to 12 cents) will keep you. Shutterfly is another great free site you can buy digital prints from. They also offer great prices at around 12 cents a print. They offer stationary, blankets and other items printed with your original digital prints. They sometimes offer an item for free like a free set of 12 notes cards for only the cost of shipping / taxes (normally about 3 bucks). I've taken them up on these offers and been very happily surprised. The quality is superb! You can also create albums to share with family and friends here aswell. A great way to keep in touch with relatives with photos from family events and holiday get togethers. You can also get some shutterfly items through local retailers for a slightly higher cost. Other sites of interest I've tried: *Kodak EasyShare Gallery *Tabblo (from HP) Hope this helps all who need a place to develop digital prints and want a place to share them online. ~L~ |
